I’ve Painted Landscape for ever. Overtime my style has changed from Large open vistas to intricate and entangled forests. I have painted the boreal forest of Northern Saskatchewan, the fields of the prairies, field and clouds included, the coastal areas both east and west and yes pretty much everything in between. One of the highlights of my career was the Plein air Painting trip the group of Seven Territory.
My muse for this series is roadside foliage, the stuff in the ditch. The colours from all seasons appear there first. The more tangled the view the more excited I am to paint it. It’s a challenge I appreciate. The fun comes from editing what I see.
